My Digital Citizenship

1.Describe a bullying situation from one of the resources above. What does the situation cover?

One of the bullying situations from the resource was rumours.  Rumours is when someone tells a lie about someone else (usually on social media) and it goes all over social media before the targeted person sees it.Once the rumour is said its really hard to un do it.

2.What strategies does the resources show to deal with these types of situations?

Strategies the resource had were to get the school involved if there were other people involved, an example they used was “a rumour that you stole someone’s significant other and that has led to threats.” They also suggested its fine to. respond if the rumour was embracing or hurtful but won’t start a fight. It’s also best to respond once and ignore the other comments or you can simply “refute the rumour in person when it comes up and wait for everyone to move on.”

3. In your own words, what do you think it means to be a Digital Leader?

I think a digital leader is someone that doesn’t post mean things about others, or doesn’t do any of the bullying situations listed in the resource. I also think a Digital leader stands up if they see someone being bullied/targeted online. They also have a certain attudie they use to approach problems.
