What is disinformation? Disinformation or fake news is incorrect information that is spread online on social media, websites, or on any website. Disinformation is used to confuse or upset others. Disinformation could start out small without anyone knowing, to everyone knowing and thinking it’s real. Disinformation usually negatively impacts communities. It can confuse people, turn people against each other, and cause disputes.  A simple example of disinformation could be saying the world is going to end in a couple of days and spread that piece of information around.  This would cause a lot of problems because some people could think that is true when it is just disinformation.  To identify disinformation, always check other resources to confirm if it is true or false, and check if where you found this information is a reliable website.
