1. List off ALL the functional procedures you used in this class?

Using a search engine- During the my maps assignment, I use google a lot to search up cool places outside of Canada because I have never been out side of Canada before. I decided to put Alberta as one of mine because I love snow and it snows a lot there, I also put an alpaca farm in Alberta on my map because I love alpacas!

Accessing a school website- I had to go on to Mr. Chastkavich’s Facebook page to find a link to send Mrs. Corsi my link to google my maps assignment.

Uploading and/or downloading- I had to down load some photos for my google maps assignment to put with each place so there was a visual with my writing/ description.

Sending a link- I had to send a link of my maps assignment to Mrs. Corsi for her to mark by copying and pasting the link.

Embedding video and/or links into an application (ex.ppt)- N/A

Scanning a document-I did not have to scan a document for my google maps assignment but I have scanned a document before.

Printing a document- I did not have to print a document for this assignment but for my family tree assignment I did print a document at home.

Using a QR code- I did nit have to use a QR code for this assignment but I did have to scan one for the survey at the start of digital literacy,.

Saving to a cloud (Office 365)- For the google my maps assignment, it saves atuomatically to the cloud which is a big help so that you are less likely to loose your work.

Accessing work on multiple devices (ie. at home and at school)- I always bring my own laptop to school and home to work on my work but I do know how to access my work from different devices.

Sending/responding to an emailCollaborating online- I have not had to send or respond to an email in school, but I do know how to.

Cutting/pasting text, pics or links- I had to cut and past a few photos and put them on my google my maps assignment.

Other: Overall, it was my first time using google my maps and it was pretty fun and cool.

2. Describe one digital tool or resource you found useful in this class. How did you use it and why was it useful?

During the google my maps assignment I found google a very helpful resource. I used it to search up places outside of Canada because I have never been outside of Canada before. I ended up doing Alberta because I love snow and it snows a lot there, i also did an alpaca farm in Alberta because I love alpacas!

3. Describe a tool, app, or resource you are hoping to use in the future. What would you use it for?

I am hoping to do more with office 365 and learn more about it in the future. I know how to use some of the apps but some of them I don’t even know what they do or how to use them. I would love to learn how to use all of the apps on office 365 so that I could maybe enhance my projects and make my ideas come true on a computer.
