About Me

Tough times don’t last. Tough people do.

Robert H. Schuller

I feel this is something we all need to know. COVID-19 has made times hard for many people, taking loved ones, sending everything into chaos, and changing many things in our day-to-day lives. Everyone has a tough time that they must persevere through, and now is one of those times.

My favourite videos have content that I assume is “not appropriate for school”, so I’ll just show a clip of a hockey game that I thought was extremely impressive. Enjoy this clip of the Vancouver Canucks’ Pettersson taking a slapshot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vptU7LOVHkU

If I had to pick a picture to put here, I think this would be a good option:

I chose this picture because this shows how selfless people can be. With everyone focusing on what they need, it’s hard to find moments where something as thoughtful as this happens. Suzanne would’ve had a chance to survive COVID-19 had she accepted the respirator from the doctors. However, she thought that a young child who may lose their life when they have so much potential should have a respirator, instead of her 90-year-old self, who “already had a good life.” This may just seem like a screenshot, but to me, it shows how caring people can be. Some days, I think humans are doomed, but when I see something like this, it gives me some hope.

This is the link I chose. I chose it partly because the link leads to one of my favourite content creators and because I couldn’t think of much else. Sure, this creator’s videos aren’t revolutionary, but I just like learning about random things. I enjoy learning from the internet more than at school, mostly because I don’t feel forced to learn. I think this is why I like learning more about why the hexagon is the best shape, but I won’t want to learn geometry in a classroom.
