Drafting 9

This is my one point drawing. I used a reference photo for it and edited it when done to fit the due date and criteria.

This is my two point drawing I chose this one because I wanted to try and go above and beyond but ran out of time near the end so some of the buildings details are less than others.

This is my three point drawing and I used a reference photo for this too. One thing I would change about this is is adding more detail to the left side of the building.

BONUS*** – this is my four point drawing and this one was a challenge because getting that curve while still making sure everything leading to a point was quite challenging.

This is my first sticker attempt and I chose the design because I like ducks and they have a simple outline.

These are my first attempts at two coloured stickers and when making it I encountered some design difficulties making me have to create two of them

This is the logo I designed through Audocad of our school.

This is my first attempt on the laser cutter and I used the same design as my first sticker.

This is my first attempt at the engraving feature of the laser cutter. The design is inspired by the chocolate frog from Harry Potter.

This is my most detailed creation with the laser cutter design and I used many techniques when designing this in Audocad. I chose this design because I love the movie Tangled and wanted to choose something from it.

This is my first isometric drawing and this design took my three tries because I kept messing of half way through.

This is my practice drawing for isometric drawings. I just chose a random reference photo because it was just for practice.

This is my first draft of a biom structure using scissors.

This is my first biom structure made with AutoCAD and the laser cutter

This is me and my partners final product for the biom project. This is our biome project on Blakeburn lagoon. The bottom rib is the water and the fish that live in the lagoon. The middle rib is sized up to show more detail of the smaller life that lives on the lagoon. The top rib is a tree to represent the forest area around the lagoon.

This was my first 3D printed boat model. This design was made using the practice video model on Teams.

This is a laser cut die I made using both the cutting and engraving feature of the laser cutter. This design was made using the how to video on Teams.

This is our final product of our boat model. This picture was taken after the race took place. Our boat made it entirely across the pool and floating for a while after as well.

These are two pictures of the apartment I made from scratch. I started by designing the floor plan on paper then designed all the walls and floor on fusion 360. Once printed out with the laser cutter I then designed all the furniture through origami.

PASSION PROJECT:

I created a book about Jeffrey Dahmer’s childhood. I am really interested in why people do the things they do so writing about the psychology of his childhood was really interesting and fun to do.

this is a picture of my project mid way. In the picture you can see the pages are being sewn together and since it was a lot of pages I had to had sew each individual page which took a long time so this added to the challenge of time

This was my final creation. I hand sewed all the pages together then used cardboard and fabric to crease the hard cover. I then used cricuit to cut out the shiny stickers for the cover.

Some challenges I faced was time and the fact that majority of my research got deleted near the end of the project so I had to rewrite a lot of it. This caused me to not have a lot of editing time for my final copying ending in some typos on the final good copy.

In the end I had a lot of fun working on this project and really feel like I learned a lot. In the future I plan to just continue this interest as a side hobby.

This is a picture of my set up at the steam fair and below is a picture of just my poster board

the fun part of this project is how much it has changed and developed from my original idea. It started as just a research project about 6 serial killers to see why they do the things they do and it turned into a deep dive on the psychological development of Jeffrey Dahmer’s childhood. I really enjoyed doing this as my passion project because I got to research a topic I love as well as hand binding a book which I have always wanted to do. In the end I really proud of my project and had a great time creating it.
