For the worms project we have all collectively done our part in checking on the worms and making sure that there are some still alive and well. We have been checking the about of plastic eaten every day but so far nothing has showed up in our jars. I have been checking the most out of all of us and I have seen that at least 4 worms out of the 7/6 per jars are dying. We think that it’s a combo of heat and lack or air causing asphyxiation. We so far have no data on our plastic because there is no data to record.
To further our progress we will add more worms for experimentation and to have some results to this experiment. It may take us a longer amount of time in order to gather data. Thus this time around with the second batch we will more carefully accumulate there needs, and living space to how they like it so the worms don’t die. We are currently trying to figure out an ideal way to house them in cool conditions. As well as trying to save the ones we already have and transport them to a cooler environment.
