January 26th Boat Race 2024

 

Up to this point we have been optimistic. We had finished the boat building and just had to wait for the testing to see if we had done a good job. 

We made it 10 meters before the boat sank. Once Jaden (the person in the boat) had gotten in the boat it started to sink. And because it started to sink so fast, we were not able to finish. This meant not only did we fail the challenge, but we also had the worst performance in the class. Not properly lining the boat with waterproof tape and making it strong enough so that it would not cave in made our boat fail. I think adding support and lining the boat with the tape we were given would make our boat last longer in the water. We tried to keep our boat as light as we could, but that made it have no structure. As it was a larger boat, we thought it would float better, but that was not the case. I think making it more dens could solve the problem.
