IN ADST 9 WE
3D PRINTED CARS
Designed 3d printed air powered baloon cars, we used stuff like Tinkercad to design the cars and Flashprint5 to splice them, them we printed them out. Heres what i’ve designed-
This was my first car design, it did not go well, it took me three tries, i got everything from bad support, to spaghetti. After I finally got it printed, the airhole was too small and I did’nt have time to sand the wheels so it ended up going 0m average.
The second did’nt go any better, it printed succsesfully this time, well mostly, bu in the shafts there was a peice of scrap and I did’nt wided the air whole so again, the average ended up deing 0m.
STEAM BOAT RACE
Janurary 22nd or 23 I think 2025.
We ended up creating a slanted front cardboard boat, stitched together with ducktape, and had a bottom covered in packing tape for water resistance. It wasn’t the most glorious boat, and not the most stable either, but it was still fun even if we sunk, and even if it was me in the ship. I did get absolutly drenched but it was definatly worth it, and if I could do it again I would. (I would try to have a more dramatic sink next time though)
Heres a photo and a video.

LASER CUTTER THAUMATROPE
We used the laser cutter to create thaumatrope’s which are two seperate patterns on different sides of a cardboard slate that make one image when you spin it around.
Here’s mine in action:
As you see it kind of worked but did’nt really, so heres the original image:
I feel like the reason it did’nt show up well was because I did’nt make the shapes dark enough on the slate, and I don’t think I spun it right. It was a fun project that I enjoyed doing, since it got to draw with the new stylus pen I recently got. If I could redo it I would definatly add more of my own spin to the slate, and make the color’s darker so it appears better.
