My Passion Project
My Passion project is a Coin Sorter. From its name you can tell it sorts coins, It sorts Canadian coins(Toonie, loonie, quarter, dime, and nickel). I did the main five as the penny has been discontinued. This project was really fun, and in the end it worked.
Process
The process was very hard, challenging, and frustrating. But I worked through it with blood and sweat(yes, there were injuries doing this).
This was my first design for my coin sorter. I was a pinwheel design. You put your coins in a pile under the wheel. The wheel will spin, pick up your coins and “toss” them down the ramp. Once there they will fall into the certified holes, which are made with the different sizes of coins. The wheel would spin from a motor, powered by a Arduino or/and a 9V battery. This was my prototype version, and it did not work.
End Result
In the end, I changed its design, by adding a funnel system instead of the pinwheel. It worked really well, and i finished up with so aesthetic and painting.

Conclusion
In conclusion, I learned a lot like, problem solving, time management, coding, about Arduinos, Motor, physics, and engineering. Overall this project was really fun, and interesting, and I look forward to doing it again next year.
