My name is Elijah Matthew Pagtakhan. I was born on December 10th, 2010 which makes me 13 turning 14 years old. Some hobbies that I usually do when I’m bored are either Video Games with my friend Yat Yeung or Basketball by myself which I do to become a better Basketball player and make my dad proud.

The pillar of Perseverance is the persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.

The pillar of Kindness is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate to others.

The pillar of Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.

The pillar of Leadership is the action of leading a group of people or an organization.

I stand for the pillar of Perseverance. The pillar of Perseverance is important and meaningful to me because I need to push myself into working harder to become a better basketball player or have a successful job to make some money to help my parents if they’re struggling with money.

I chose Kobe Bryant because he was comfortable putting in the work to grow and learn from his mistakes so he could become better in each area of his life. When he messed up, struggled with injury, or faced criticism, he didn’t shy away from the challenge. Instead, he faced it head-on and continued toward his goals.

I demonstrate the pillar of perseverance by doing everyday things that get me tired like doing basketball drills everyday and watching my sisters when my parents are away while having to do a variety of chores all in one day with the pressure of having to do homework from school which puts me in stress, but I still try my best to finish it which takes a lot of my resting time to chill in my room in silence.
