  4. What type of information is given in the visualization?  Be descriptive.

  1. I choose a chart of the average salaries across Europe in 2023 because I want to know how much people make on an average in other countries.
  2. They used a map of Europe and placed the average salary/ hour in each of the coloured countries. They counted in pounds instead of dollars since that is the most common in Europe. The bluer the hue, the higher the hourly salary.
  3. This visualization is showing the average salaries in each country in Europe that is highlighted. An overview of the average hourly salary across Europe (in Euros). Higher salaries are highlighted with bluer hues.
  4. Luxembourg has the highest average salary on the continent (€47/hour). Aside from that, the country’s per capita GDP is the highest in the world. As well as Denmark and Norway, Sweden (€26/hour) pays well (€42/hour). The differences in economies, wealth, and cost of living in Northern and Western Europe reflect higher average wages. This dataset indicates that Bulgaria has the lowest average wage at €8/hour. Countries missing information/date are the UK, Switzerland, Serbia, and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
  5. This visualization caught my eye since it’s a quite colourful and fun looking map. It also caught my eye because I’m from Europe and I wanted to see what kind of info it had.
  6. I do feel comfortable extracting data from visualizations because clear and easy to read.
  7. It’s easy and better to understand things off of a graph, chart or visualization than a written report.
  8. People might use this report to help them understand and show them how much they would get payed on an average in other countries where they might be moving to for example. One might also use this chart to see the difference between each countries’s salary to also understand the different financial situations each country is facing.

As the graph here shows, I did not water my beans enough thats for sure. What I have accomplished in this assignment is a new mindset called, paying more attention and showing care to things like my bean so it doesn’t die. What I have learned is that beans can thrive well on their own for a while until you have to water them.

Here is the timelapse video.
