I chose a Music Box as my passion project because, I have a music box at home but it does not work anymore. I thought instead of buying another one, I could just make one. The music box plays on its own and can also hold jewelry.

My progress on my project went smoothly and I was able to finish everything on time. My project worked for the fair and I was able to talk about my experience and show people how it worked. Something I would do next time is add more photos to my board to have it stand out. The process from star to finish ran smooth, I did have a few bumps but managed to solve them pretty quickly. My biggest problem was when 2 days before the fair, the mechanism stopped working. I was able to move things around and get it to work , but I was definitely worried I wouldn’t be able to show the whole purpose of my passion project.

In the end my project was successful and I think a lot of people enjoyed it. Overall I think the experience went well, but next time I would test the box more to make sure everything works, to not cause the same stress of if the music was going to work or not.
