I chose this quote because, I believe that everyone thinks you can only be happy once you’ve reached the destination. I think that you should be happy when the journey is done but explore and learn along the way.

Who Am I?

My name is Emma Wilkie. I was born on February 26th in New Westminster. I am a student at Terry Fox Secondary School. My favourite subjects in school are Drafting and English. I like to go horseback riding and play volleyball in my free time. I am in a family of 4. It is my parents and my one sibling. I have 2 white cats named Mowgli and Sneaker. They are a little older then a year old. I have lived in Canada my whole life and only left the country to visit my grandparents or go on vacations. When I graduate high school I would like to get a science degree and save up money to travel around Europe.

What is Important to me?

What I think is most important to me is my family and friends. They are always there for me and want me to succeed and challenge myself. They are constantly reminding me if i need to do something or if i need help with anything and it makes my life a lot easier. They are such a big part of my life and that is why they are so important to me.

Who Inspires me?

The people that inspires me are my parents. They inspire my because they have gone through so much, and keep going and not giving up. They have to do so much to make sure we all have food and a place to sleep and it cant be easy. This is why my parents inspire me to grow up and be just as helpful as them.

What is STEAM to me?

STEAM is a place for me to learn and grow as I go through my years of high school. It is where I am being taught new things, and getting to do more then the regular grade 9 classes. I am doing drafting along with the required courses, and learning so much, but still have so much more to learn.

I chose this video because it is one of me and my friends favourite show.  I was able to learn this dance with one of them and it was the funniest thing trying to learn it and make up our own parts. Overall it is a special video that brought me closer to my friends in the process.

 Inspiring Picture:

Horses are very strong and capable of so many things, it just takes some time to learn. It inspires me because with the same amount of effort and time you can learn so many things as long as you put your mind to it and try you can do so much more then you think.
