Balloon Car Project

My Balloon Car

 

 

For this project, we had to design and 3D print a balloon-powered car in Tinkercad. I had to utilize my knowledge of design to create an effective and working balloon car. After going through multiple versions of my car, I observed how far each went and it tested my ability to analyze and record data.

It was a challenging project because there were many steps and rules I needed to follow to make the car work, like assembling and using the right print settings, but I feel like I did a proficient job on this assignment.

Bee House

When the presenter was talking, I learned that bee houses like the image above aren’t supposed to be shaped like houses because it should be suited for a bee to live, not a human. It should look like a tower with a hole on top. She also said that the sticks they use have to be made of chemical-free wood or paper. I liked this presentation because I learned a lot about bees, how they pollinate and live in urban environments. It also showed that there are a lot of species of bees in Canada. After that, we had to roll up specialized bee-friendly papers to put in the bee houses. Overall, it was a nice change of pace from our usual drafting work.
