About Me
I am a person that is not very good at talking about himself. I like trying new things, listening to music, coding, being with my friends, and cats even though I’m allergic to them.
A few important definitions:
Perseverance – The quality of being able to keep going, no matter how daunting a task may seem.
Kindness – The quality of being friendly, generous and willing to treat others with respect.
Integrity – The quality of being able to make morally good decisions on your own, not just to make people see you in a better light or for personal gain.
Leadership – The quality of being a respectable someone that people seek guidance from.
These 4 qualities are the metaphorical pillars that this school stands on.
For me, perseverance is the most meaningful pillar because I know of some people that have achieved amazing feats in their field thanks to their formidable perseverance.
A person that represents perseverance:
When I think of perseverance, I think of JPEGMAFIA, a man of many descriptors.
He is one of the most talented musicians of the modern era, pulling influences from a plethora of genres. When he served in the army, he began making music in the mid-2000’s as the enigmatic Devon Hendryx, but his sound never caught on, and he genuinely considered quitting music.
After finally achieving success 20 years later, his fans have watched him grow from simply making beats to singing on them, rapping on them, and infusing R&B, rock, lo-fi, electronic, and more into his many classic albums.
JPEGMAFIA has always naturally stood out. He himself has said this about his music, “When I was first making beats, no one liked the beats. To this day I give people beats and they’re just confused. I started rapping because no one liked my beats.”
A person like him is a big inspiration to me and a great example of perseverance & its importance.

I chose this because it expresses that even if you have many setbacks, you can still push through and achieve your goals.
The best website:
The reason why Roblox is my favorite website is because it’s one of the first online games I’ve ever played, and it also taught me to create games and learn coding. I’ve also made many valuable connections with people there thanks to the social aspect of games and learned a lot of new things. It is a simple website that is very important to me and it has been a part of my life for nearly a decade.

How I use the pillars
Going back to the 4 pillars, one way I use them in my everyday life is when I’m at Terry Fox.
Perseverance, when I’m starting something new or having trouble with my assignments. I use it to remind myself that it will work out if I keep trying.
Kindness, when I meet new people or someone needs help. It makes people’s lives a bit easier.
Integrity, when I do my homework because I’m a responsible student.
Leadership. I don’t really lead people like that. I’d rather be a plebeian.
