Cricut 

The first assignment that we did in ASDT is Cricut and some of the things that we made for cricut. We’re the stickers that we would put on the folders. And those’s sticker were a turtle, science logo, name, and a random shape that you would group together. The stickers were used to customize the folder to turn it into our own personal and unique folders. I enjoyed watching the shapes being created on cricut machines because they were always so satisfying to watch while being created. (Here’s a photo of my folder down bellow)

 

Thaumatrope Assignment

During the end of the first semester, we started our thaumatrope. Basically it’s a piece of carboard with a stick connected to it, on the cardboard you draw a piece of the drawing on it and on the other side you draw the other piece of the drawing. then you color in the drawing and stick the stick in the bottem of the cardboard circle. Once everything is complete you spin the stick, which should create an optical illusion. We then record it spinning for 10 seconds and post it on teams. To create the design we wanted to make, we had to go through a paper draft then to a drawing app that would work with the lasercutter. After that we would lasercut the design and the cardboard and add final details to it, and so on.
