One Point Perspective Drawing
This was my one point perspective drawing. One point means that most of the lines in the page are directed toward the middle. This drawing was overall good but I did mess up on the shadows of some objects.
Two Point Perspective Drawing
This was my two point perspective drawing. It is basically the same as the one point but now the lines are split in the middle of the page going to two other points. This is my favorite drawing out of the three.
Three point perspective
This is my 3 point perspective drawing. The lines in this drawing are all heading in one of 3 directions.
Steam Name
This is my Steam Name page. We were to present our name in the steam course. This was hard at first, but then I kept trying ways and eventually got a hang of it.
Boat Model
This is my 3d boat. We had to make a boat, put it in a pool of water then add as much pennies to the boat until it sinks. There was a contest to see which boat could fit the most pennies but unfortunately mine did not win.
Boat race
One of Steam field trips that I had was to Hyde creek we made cardboard boats that we were going to put in the pool and race other groups boat. There was going to be a prize for the last one standing and the fastest one. For my groups boat we were going for the last one standing prize. When we were making the boat, our thought process was to add more cardboard on the bottom of the boat that no water would get inside and to add water proof duct tape all over my boat hoping to keep everything dry. Unfortunately my boat did not win because my boat sunk immediately when I got in. I think this happened because of the way I got in the boat. I feel that my boat sunk because when I got in, the weight distribution was un-even causing one side to sink first letting in all the water. For our paddle we originally had 2 ideas, for one we would make a thick and big so that we could push more water but slower, or we make a smaller one that is easier to paddle and fast but it pushes less water. We went with the bigger one because we wanted to push father with each stroke and we did some research and due to newtons 3rd law it is more efficient. The reason I was the one who went in the boat is because I was the lightest one in the group and that is good because the lighter I am, then the less the boat will have to hold.
This was my passion project for the 2024 steam fair. For my project, I made coded 2 games in Python. During the few months that I had to make this passion project, I got many roadblocks and errors while coding. I chose to code a game for my passion project because I’ve always liked video games and it would be cool to make my own and adding whatever features I want. The first thing I did was to try and find a free and efficient website that I could start making my games on. I went on google and searched up free coding websites and I found this free website called Pixelpad. I didn’t know how to code at first, so I decided to do some research on YouTube. YouTube was very helpful, there were tons of videos teaching you the basics of python coding. After I finished watching the necessary videos I got to testing and trying out pieces of scripts. At first there were some pieces of code that didn’t work so I went back to the videos that I watched and eventually found out why it was wrong. There were also times when I was stuck, and I didn’t know how to code some things that I could not find on YouTube. I got some tips from a friend who knew a lot about coding to solve this. Basically, that step just repeats many times over the months to code my game. I have also gone through lots of testing and prototyping games. I actually have another game that I was originally going to use for the passions project, but I ended thinking that game was quite boring, so I started making another one.
