This was my rough plan for the 2 floors I designed for the STEAM tower project.

These two are the first two boats I have made so far. The red one was made first and was very successful. The yellow one is a failed prototype of a design I made. It came out too small, so now it is useless.

How we made our boat is by folding a cardboard board in half and taping the sides to make a kayak.

Our boat was going 2.5m/s.

Some of the factors that helped us win a race is the stable sides of the boat so it doesnt tip over, and the sharp back and front of the boat.

I think we could improve the effort we put in our boat, like properly waterproofing the bottom.

The mass of  the paddler caused the front and back to fold in on itself, but it did not sink, or tip over.
