For this passion project I chose the subject of hinges I chose hinges because I believe that people don’t have enough knowledge on hinges how important they are to humanity

In the making of my project I ran into some problems. Number one: failed prints, failed prints were hell to overcome I had to make so many different versions or my hinges that I just gave up entirely on the hinge I was having trouble with. This caused me to come up with other examples of hinges that still demonstrated the same qualities as my previous hinge. I had to make versions with multiple pieces and put them together later.

 

The result of my project wasn’t very engaging but a few people did come by but the people who did come by were quite interested in my project and told me their stories and how hinges were important to them. Just by counting the amount of people coming to my project tells you how much hinges are not recognized. I think people did not come to my project much because of my lack of presentation and I recognize that I did not have enough material to fully present the hinge.
