All About Me:
This is one of my favorite pictures from Kobe Bryant as it shows how much of an inspiration he was to all basketball fans. He inspired people like this quote from him and made them feel like they could do anything they wanted to do.
Who am I?
My name is Kouichi Uemoto and I love having fun and playing sports. My top three sports I like to play are basketball, soccer, and badminton, but out of all of them I like basketball the best. My favorite food is Curry but everything is mostly my favorite food to me.
What are the things most important to me?
For me the number one thing that is the most important to me are my friends and family who always support and are really fun to be with. Second most important thing to me is basketball. Basketball is my most favorite sport of all time and just playing it makes me happy. It’s always fun to play 5 on 5 games with your friends for fun but also playing competitive games to try and beat the other team.
What or who inspires me?
My parents are always my biggest inspiration always giving me good advice and helping me in tough times. They’ve always been there for me and always work very hard for our family. That’s why I want to always try my best for them and myself whenever I do something. After that are all of the basketball players out there like Kobe Bryant, Giannis, and Stephen Curry, who inspire me to get better at basketball.
What is STEAM to me?
STEAM for me is place to expand my ideas and to think outside of the box and to put those ideas into real life. I think to me STEAM is also a place to get better at skills that I’m not necessarily good at such as math. It’s also a place to talk about my ideas and learn more deeply about the subjects we learn.
Why did I choose to join STEAM?
“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.” (Michael Jordan)
The reason why I chose as my meaningful quote is because it emphasizes how you do not need to have all of the talent in the world to win, but having teamwork and intelligence will take you to the next level to win championships.
I put this as my video for my website because Shai is one of my favorite players that I look up to. He also comes from Canada and is a huge inspiration showing even Canadian basketball players can compete. I also love basketball and watching him helps me get better at playing basketball.
