STEAM

My name is Lukas Fuss and I am a student athlete, I play soccer but enjoy most sports i can think of. I was born and raised in Canada and have heritage from Germany and Italy primarily but I have little bits of heritage all over Europe. I love to play sports, eat, and watch shows and videos in my down time I also love to play certain video games like FIFA or GTA.

I think the most important part of my life to me has to be soccer, I think i would go crazy if I just sat around and did nothing during my free time, My soccer uses up so much time in my week and takes me all down the west coast from Seattle to Portland to California.

Some of my biggest inspirations have to be soccer players like Thomas Muller, Mesut Ozil, Robert Lewandowski and Joshua Kimmich but outside of that world I still mainly look up to athletes like Kobe because of his mentality, but I don’t have many famous people who inspire me outside of sports

STEAM to me is being able to think outside the box, it also means you are willing to commit to hands of projects and not just pen to paper assignments

I chose to join STEAM because i felt like it is a good fit for how different my brain thinks about things and how poor I do on pure pen to paper assignments

PERSONAL

I chose this video because I love the sport of football (soccer) and it is a HUGE part of my life, Thomas Muller is my favorite player of all time and I really try to style my play around him and the way he has made his “Brain over brawn” or “IQ over Technique” style of play effective at such a high level and I dream of doing the same on day

I find this quote inspiring because David Beckham was a man who was hated by his country because of a red card he got in a football match that got his country eliminated from the world cup and he followed through with what he said as he went on to play better then he ever had in his life while getting booed by English fans throughout the country and it inspires me in a way that makes me want to ignore what everyone else is saying and push through
