Our group’s idea for the climate change project was getting plastic eating worms. Our group would get 42 worms and put them in the jars. 2 out of 4 jars were plastic that is used for the zip-loc and in the rest of the jars, there were plastics that is used for packaging. But when the worms arrived, 16 worms have died. So we had to divide the rest of the 26 worms in the jar. so we put 7 worms each in the zip loc jar and we put 6 worms each in the packaging jar.
After the weekend, we check the jars, and most of the worms were dead. we still don’t know the reason why the worms died but our guess is because they were not in the right temperature. We tried to put in the green house but that was still too cold for the worms so we asked Ms. Lauder to put the worms in her house but they still died.
What we will continue to do is, we’ll keep the worms in the cover and research about the perfect temperature for the worms. Then we will wait until another worms come to school and experiment again.
