I chose this quote because it relates to my music life, and people enjoy when I sing/play instruments. This quote also helps me understand that music isn’t just something people just listen to. Sometimes music can help relieve others and help them isolate themselves from their problems. Sir Elton John has also been an inspiration to me. This quote helps me understand that music helps people enjoy their life, because now a days some people don’t enjoy music as much as it was in the past.

I chose this video because this song has been a part of my child and “Listen to your Heart” is the first song I performed in Rock School. This song means a lot to me because whenever I listen to this song it helps me make the right decisions. I also love this song because even though the lead vocal has sadly passed away I still love the songs they compose. I’m so glad I was able to perform this song for Rock school because I really enjoyed being in such a great band and this song is also my family’s favourite song too!

I chose these two pictures because both piano and singing have been something that I’ve loved since I was a baby. Singing has brought a huge impact to my life because I’ve had my grandparents and people before me become performers in their life. These people have inspired me to carry on the legacy of music in my family. Piano and singing has let me through my toughest times in life. Music will always be something apart of my life that no one or anyone can ever try to take away from me. I am so thankful that my older brother had encouraged me to continue on my music legacy and join Rock school as well. Music has made me gain so much confidence in myself. This link leads to the studio I went to for vocal lessons. Simusique really helped me improve on my singing skills. They taught me things that I didn’t know how to do or I knew that I was capable of doing. I am so thankful for the all the teachers that taught me there who were supportive, sending love, and having so much optimistic. They helped me to gain my confidence to perform better and even lead me to sing in competitions. Simusique gave me so many opportunities which gave me the best life experiences that I don’t even know when I’m going to do again. The two best things I really enjoyed doing with them was doing the BC Youth Talent Search competitions and performing all the way in downtown! These two were honestly the best experiences I had, during the competition I went from the semi-finals to the finals which was amazing! I was so honoured to perform downtown because it’s not very often that I got to do big events like these. I am so happy that I was able to do such eventful things in my life!
