Representing Perseverance: David Bowie
David Bowie represents perseverance because people say that Bowie’s legacy offers us to embrace change, I think he embraced change by dressing the way he wanted to and do makeup the way he chose to. lots of people look up to him and wish they could go back in time to see one of his shows, he was labelled as gay when he was bisexual. once he spoke out about what interviewers were saying they didn’t believe him and tried to state that he was gay. He ended up marrying a woman and everyone kind of just forgot what they were trying to implant in others brains. I think David Bowie is a great person to represent perseverance because he fought the allegations of him being quote on quote “gay.”
I chose this video because it lets you know a bit about David Bowie in a short amount of time, he showed a lot of perseverance being in the music industry for so long.
Website That’s Meaningful To Me
Click on the image above this to view one of my favorite apps. I like Snapchat because it’s another way to communicate with my friends. I typically am on Snapchat most of the day, speak to friends at school, and those that live far away.
Reflecting on the Pillars
I personally think perseverance reflects on me because I came back to school after years of anxiety and just not wanting to go. Even though I have no friends here I’ve found comfort in supporting myself and not worrying about how others are dealing with school or getting in trouble.
