Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of field experiences within the STEAM program.

In STEAM 9, one of our themes connects to Ecology & the Environment and we go on a number of walking field trips to the Hyde Creek Hatchery and Blakeburn Lagoons. Our students conduct a number of field tests to learn about air and water quality around Port Coquitlam. We have also visited SFU, Science World, and Grouse Mountain.

In STEAM 10, students complete CLE 10 and have a variety of guest speakers visit the classroom to learn about both education and work opportunities post-secondary. We also visited the SFU Chemistry Labs to conduct a series of labs and the H.R MacMillan Space Center to learn about astronomy.
