For my SSEP project we decided to rate how fast food decomposes in space. We used 3 different types of foods. A piece of apple, A piece of Orange, a whole grain bread, and a piece of raw ground beef. The experement would use 3 compartment inside of the tube. One compartment would would consist the piece of an apple and orange. Compartment 2 will consist the whole grain bread. And compartment 3 would have the raw meat. I think that the food will decompose slower because the elements of earth are not acting upon the food. The experiment will be measured by the mass of the food.
