Passion Project
My passion project this term was a mechanical arm that I built alongside Luca Scherk. Originally, The Arm (which is what it has been named) was going to be a hydraulic piston arm, with the focus on the engineering of hydraulic pistons, designed for a science fair. But, seeing as we missed the deadline for the science fair and we did not have the necessary materials to construct a hydraulic one, we switched the focus of our project to building a prototype out of lego, designed for the purpose of testing some code I had written. Luca was the primary engineer behind the construction of the arm, and I do not have as much information on its construction as he would, so this section of this page is primarily about the math.
