Which school is best for me?

 

 

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

Location: Daytona Beach, Florida, United States

History: the school started in 1925 and was one of the first 5 schools to be certified under the Department of Commerce’s newly-minted Air Commerce Act.

Number of students: Around 8,797 Students are enrolled.

Diversity of population: Around 57% are white, 14% are Hispanic and the other 12% is everything else. Also 77.5% are Male and 22.5% are Female.

Housing options and costs: There are many residence halls for students to stay at, and they are about $4,000 per semester.

Popular Programs: they are known as a aeronautical school so most of the programs are aeronautical related.

What Program/Degree/Diploma would you want to complete?

I want to complete a Bachelors in aerospace engineering.

Admission Requirements for that Program/Degree/Diploma: most requirements include Math, Physics, English, and computer science.

McGill University

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada

History: McGill was founded in 1821. On the grounds of the university basketball and hockey were created. This is also where the worlds first search engine was created, named “Archie”. This is also were Canada’s first female professor taught.

Number of students: Around 35,000

Diversity of population: there are around 41% Canadian, 23% American and 19% International

Housing options and costs: there are many residence halls for students to stay at, and the cost is around $12,000 per year.

Popular Programs: some popular programs include Computer Science, Engineering, Health, Social Science, and Humanities.

What Program/Degree/Diploma would you want to complete?

I want to complete a Bachelors in aerospace engineering.

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States

History: GaTech was founded in 1885 and was trade school focused on technological innovation.

Diversity of population: its about 37% white, 31% Asian, 8% black, 8% Hispanic/latino, and the rest is everything else.

Housing options and costs: there are many residence halls for students to live at, the cost is around $4,000 per year.

Popular Programs: there are many popular programs these include Engineering, Computer sciences, and Health/biological programs.

British Columbia Institute of Technology

Location: Richmond, British Columbia, Canada

History: BCIT was founded in 1960, and was the first provincial institution dedicated to technical eduication

Number of students: Around 50,000

Diversity of population: BCIT has nearly a 2:3 Male Female ratio.

Housing options and costs: BCIT is close enough to my current house that I could just live there for free while I am at school and just drive out there everyday

Popular Programs: there are many popular programs these include Engineering, Computer sciences, and Health/biological programs.

What Program/Degree/Diploma would you want to complete?

I would want to complete Airline and Flight operations commercial pilot

Admission Requirements for that Program/Degree/Diploma: Math, Physics, English, and computer science.

Deadlines: January 17

Tuition costs: $5,660-$10,910 per year

Total budget to complete your education: it takes about 64 weeks so it would cost around $7,000-$12,000

Closing – I think that Embry-Riddle would be the best for me and someone with the same interests because it focuses on degrees in that type of field.
