I am Riley Burford, I am from Port Coquitlam, Canada. I was born in the Royal Colombian Hospital in New Westminster. I play Lacrosse for a few teams. One being Poco Saints obviously because I live in Poco. I also play for PCL (Pro Caliber Lacrosse) which is a team focused on getting player scholarships to NCAA universities, I can’t get one yet as I am to young but hope to get one in the future. Currently I go to Terry Fox secondary school and I am in grade 9.

To me I think STEAM is a program where we learn in different and more fun ways than just sitting at a desk and writing tests all day long and doing textbook work. Where in steam we usually make the things we learn about based on real life things and not just some random thing we must be taught.

The many reason I joined STEAM was because I enjoy all the topics of steam (except art isn’t really my favourite) and thought it would be fun to have them all year. One other reason I joined STEAM is because quite a few of my friends were joining at and it made us have a higher chance of being in the same classes.
