About Me

1) Meaningful Quote:

A lion doesn’t concern itself with the opinion of a sheep

This quote was said by George R.R. Martin.

I chose this because immediately when I saw it (a couple of years ago) I knew I would never forget it, and I haven’t. This means a lot to me because when I heard it, I couldn’t stop thinking about it until i saw the underlying message. which I never understood until I was put in those shoes. I always thought this quote meant that if you knew what you were out for then that meant the people who didn’t know would always put you down and you would always be at a higher power. But once I was put in the shoes where someone was saying negative things, I finally understood it. A lion is someone as explained before a person who knows what they want and strives to get it, they work through the rough and the hard and never give up. But that’s not what makes a lion. When people speak down on them that’s only because they are not like that so-called lion and they don’t know how to work, hence them being the sheep. Showing the lion is only a lion because they don’t let these words stop them and they don’t put the sheep down, which makes them stronger than the sheep will ever be. So, the lion doesn’t concern itself with the opinion of a sheep and that is what makes them better.

2) Embedded Video:

I chose this video of soccer because it plays a big part in my life. Since I was four years old, I have been playing soccer and it has been a while since I’ve started playing. But soccer has always been important to me, and I’ve always looked forward to It. Whether I was playing it or watching it I will always get excited and never forget the feeling of when you’re on the field and the rush it gives you. I have always craved that rush and adrenaline of all the pressure being on you as a striker and soccer is where I get it. Soccer has always been an out of me and I am forever thankful for It. This video shows one of my favorite players (Christiano Ronaldo) playing and some of this best goals. Ever since I was little, I looked forward to watching him play.

3) Inspiring Picture:

This picture shows a famous quote from Christiano Ronaldo saying “Be Strong, Be Brave, Go beyond.” I chose this because as explained in the previous task I am a big soccer fan and play for a team, along with that Christiano Ronaldo is one of my favorite players and someone I look up to and have looked up to since I was a kid. This picture has the quote, and the strong part shows that in order to get something or somewhere you must be strong not only physically but mentally and have this precise mindset because that is what makes success. The brave part shows that in order to go far in life and become something you must be brave and put yourself out there no matter how many times you get hurt because that is how you learn and grow. The go beyond means that doing both of those will only get you so far and the rest is up to you and your circumstance. Doing all that is told of you is not it and working extra and more for what you want is what will get you where you want. Going beyond will only get you beyond so why not try more?

4) Create a Hyperlink:

I chose this link because I have been playing soccer since a young age. I have been playing for Langley for a couple of years and these past ones I have had the time of my life. This website link leads to the Langley girls’ soccer united which is a team in Langley. This specific site is about the news of Langley soccer and Canadas’s soccer but if you look at the top corner you should be directed to where you can sign up to be a player and on a team. Although there’s lots of parts to the sign up, I believe this is the most efficient way and helpful to those who have never been on a team.
