Our First little project was the famous egg drop challenge
I did it with Mayth and Yari. our contraption looked like this:
Basically we had a parachute to slow the fall and then a soft sponge to absorb the initial impact and then the egg was housed with straws to keep it in place and if it fell over the straws could absorb the small impact.
Here’s how it went:
as you can see it went well, the egg didn’t break and even though in our tests the contraption bounced and fell to the side. luckily during the drop it didn’t fall on its side.

Just finished my 1 point perspective
didn’t have enough time to do the sky but I tried smudging and I’d say it looks alright

We made models of planets (+more) and I made mars.
it’s 8 cm in diameter and is made of a Styrofoam ball in the center with clay and a layer of paint for colour. looking back I should have gotten better clay because the clay I got dries over time but also shrinks a little, so it caused the model to crack.

Gravity car is complete. we had to make a car with a cardboard body, cardboard rear axel and 3D printing filament spools for rear wheels that we would race to see who’s car traveled a length of 1 meter the fastest. Mine did average with 47% efficiency.

Before Winter break we made bath bomb molds to use in science where we made the bath bombs themselves! I made mine to look like a cartoon cloud
Unfortunately I couldn’t get the mold out to test it in water, but it looks good.

Finally finished my nest box. I made it for the black capped chickadee. I sized it so well it friction fit without the locks that keep the panels in place.
