Take a look on the bottom of this excel sheet.  There are 3 more sheets you need to finish Part 1 of the assignment: Written Response Question, Marking Guide and 5 student samples(A-E).  Your task is to look at the question SOLAR ENERGY, look at the marking guide and then determine a mark from 0 to 4 for each of the student samples, along with your reasoning for that mark. Mark alone is not sufficient. Picture
13a) Mark for Student Sample A and your reasoning. 13a) This is a clear explanation of the formula and I would give it a 4
13b) Mark for Student Sample B and your reasoning. 13b) The part on the top is a bit more difficult to understand, but everything else is fine. I wouold give it a 3
13c) Mark for Student Sample C and your reasoning. 13c) This is harder to understand and read, so I would give it a 2
13d) Mark for Student Sample D and your reasoning. 13d) This had a perfect answer to the question with full sentences and he showed his work. I would give it a 4
13e) Mark for Student Sample E and your reasoning. 13e) I think this is a 1 because he did not show the answer clearly and there was also no steps on showing how he got the answers
14) Reflection;  Now that you have gone through  the Numeracy exam, what did you gain from the exposure?  What steps will you take to improve your preparation?
What strategies will you use to achieve a higher score?
What specific goals should you set to ensure success in next year’s Numeracy and Literacy exams?
14) I can study for this numeracy exam a few weeks before I take it, and i would want to get above 60 or 70 percent.
