For the boat races, me, Eli, Max, and Duncan didn’t go far. We wanted to make supports for the boat on both sides, but we didn’t have enough material to make it. We ended up taping cardboard on our hands for paddles. Our boat sank after a few seconds, and this was because the water got into the boat, and it did not have enough supports. We used duct tape and masking tape to cover the holes on the sides, and used a layer of masking tape on the bottom to make sure it wouldn’t leak through. I think we could do better next time if we used our cardboard wisely and not just use one piece of cardboard. We chose the lightest person in our group to go on the boat, but in the end it didn’t matter because our boat did not have any supports.
