1) Meaningful Quote:

“Your attitude determines your direction.” Ralph Waldo Emerson.

To be a successful person in this world, having a positive attitude is a must. If you show up at school or work with a stormy cloud above your head, your day is automatically going to be bad. A sour attitude doesn’t just spoil your day, it also spoils the day for your classmates and colleagues alike.  If you continue to hang your head, it will lead you in a direction you may not want to go.

But one who has a positive attitude, makes themselves and their colleagues better people.

Favourite youtube video:Tyler Herro high school mixtape

Ever since Tyler Herro was in high school, I have been fascinated with his game. In many ways i can relate to him and his upbringing. He was once just a kid from Wisconsin chasing his dreams of being a professional basketball player. He committed to the University of Wisconsin. After further research, he then committed to the University of Kentucky. He got thousands of death threats from Wisconsin fans. But he fought adversity and he played in the NBA Finals this year. His story inspired me to persevere through adversity in my athletic career.

The weekend Michael Jordan really became MJ - Chicago Sun-Times

Ever since I fell in love with basketball, Michael Jordan was my idol. It was never the crazy dunks or monster defence he played. It was the passion and love for the game which set Mike aside for me.  Mike always wanted to make his teammates better; Doing this inspired thousands of kids (including me) to take the leadership role not just on the field or court, but in the classroom as well.

Part of becoming a successful student is studying hard, right? Well the same rules applies for sports as well. To become the best at your craft, you must study the greats who came before you. This website allows me to watch the NBA and study film anywhere at any time. Technically this is considered pirating, but memberships are expensive and we have to save our money!
