While presenting, I will talk about how I made my art piece and what I did to make it. I will also talk about how this project relates to steam
I did my project on plalking which for short, is a word in Swedish meaning to pick up. Plalking is a variation of jogging and picking up trash but picking it up in an athletic way. While I was plalking, most trash I found was cigarette butts on the side of the street along with snack wrappers around school playgrounds. This is exactly what this art piece is made out of, cigarette butts and wrappers along with paint and cardboard.
I went out for an hour and a half plalking and have picked up many pieces
I think I am also going to talk about how this project relates to Steam but I’m not sure if I should put it on the project category page or if I should put it in the reflection category. I feel I should make a script for what I’m going to say so my presentation will be a bit more organized.

Rough draft/Main ideas:
Quick ~15 sec
I went to public areas such as schools + parks to pick up the garbage and create art out of it. To which, 30% was cigarettes.
Longer ~75 sec
My project is on Plalking Art. A question I get a lot is what is plalking? Well, plalking is a Swedish word for “going on a walk and picking up garbage”. There are different variations such as walking, jogging, and biking. I went to 3 different local areas to pick up garbage such as Blackburn, cedar, and terry fox. I found a total of 283 pieces of trash, of which, 30% were cigarettes. So out of this trash, I made art as you can see here. A personal painting with wrappers as the sunset and cigarettes as logs on the beach. So each color on my poster represents a different kind of topic. Over here are the statistics on how much waste there is and how to reduce that amount. Since cigars were the most popular item to litter, I decided to write a little section on how it can affect the environment and how to dispose of them properly. And for more information, you can scan this QR code which leads to my website.
I am not expecting to say exactly what this script says but it’s there to just be more clear about how it’s structured and feel more confident in what I will say.
