Isometric Drawings

Posted in Drafting Portfolio

1 point perspective:

This was my very first isometric drawing I have ever done and I feel it definitely wasn’t bad. For being the first time, I feel that the lines were crisp but needed to get rid of the eraser marks more. Also adding more detail because it looks very simple but I’m happy with how it turned out.

2 point-perspective:

This drawing was better than the first one but I think I can do even more than that. Obviously having more shading would help this drawing but I like that most of the dimensions are the correct angles.

3 point-perspective:

This is my favourite drawing that I have made from this year. I love the extra detail and shading with it. Something I could do a little better was making the detail a bit more realistic with the scale but other then that, I love this drawing.

  • Isometric drawings are illusions that look cool from the different types of shading. The three shades we use is light (no colour), medium (light pressure), and dark (harder pressure). You can create cool shapes and forms that look almost 3D with different lightings and positions.
  • Something I like about my Isometric drawings is that it is so simple to draw but one little space that isn’t shaded will make the whole drawing not work. It looks so complicated but is really easy and straight forward
