Hello, welcome to my page!!

My name is Marlo Maas and this is my page that has most things you need to know about me.

Who am I?

I’m Marlo. I’m a pangender pansexual. This mean that I have a connection to all genders and I am attracted to all genders. I use any pronouns, but I prefer they/them! I was born June 29th, and I am part of the grade 9 STEAM program at Terry Fox Secondary School. Some of my interests include musical theatre, drawing, poetry, costume design, dance, biology, and content creation. When I grow up, my dream is to be a famous Broadway actor in New York, but I will most likely end up going to school for neuro science. I’m a very extroverted character, I love meeting new people and having a lot of friends. I’m creative with my outfits and the way I carry myself. I try to seem confident in who I am. I care a lot about what people think of me, I love seeming smart and well put together. Though I sometimes don’t have the best habits I am a reliable friend and person. I find inspiration in many different forms and have a very “out of the box” way of viewing life. Music is something that has always been one of the biggest impacts of my life. I love everyone and I am always willing to try anything and look on the bright side. 

What is important to me?

Music has always been a massive inspiration to me. Music helps me focus, learn, and see the world in a different way.

Friends are very important to me, they help me feel stable and ok with myself. I’m so thankful to have the friends that I have, The people closest to me have so much of my trust and with out them I have no idea what I would do.

My future is very very important to me, I care so much about the security of my future. I try to work my hardest to insure myself a good future.

What inspires me?

The main thing that inspires me is music. I love all types of music but styles that have a lot of different instruments make me even more inspired. Genres like metal and indie rock make me feel heightened emotions, they help me get in touch with my thoughts and the different types of sounds keep me interested and give me respect for the artists. I write poems and stories in my free time and I always have music that helps me think. Music that helps me convey the emotions I want to express. Different lyrics help me find new way of seeing things and new metaphors.

What does steam mean to me?

STEAM to me is a way to push my thinking limits to the max. It helps me see things in a new light and actually do experiments. The projects of  STEAM help me learn in a way that easy for me. I think STEAM is a community of people who want to go farther. A group of people who want more, people who have goals and who want to show who they are. A group that cares.

Why did I choose to join steam?

 I chose to join STEAM because I loved the idea of being able to do more hands-on projects. I wanted a more unique learning experience because I like to be challenged academically. I wanted to meet new people and have a good experience and try to learn new, different things this beginning year.
