My First Digital Literacy Reflection

Course Name: Science 9

Course Teacher: Ms. Lawson

 

1. Procedures I used in this class included:

Using a search engine

Accessing a school website

Uploading and/or downloading

Sending a link

Saving to a cloud (Office 365)

Accessing work on multiple devices (ie. at home and at school)

Cutting/pasting text, pics or links

 

2. A helpful tool I used in this class was PowerPoint which I used to make my Blakeburn portfolio project. I added symbols, images, and text to different slides. It was useful because it made it easier to add pictures to the project and make it visually appealing without too much hard work. Using PowerPoint also allowed for a digital presentation so not as much paper was used and I could conveniently access my work from home. 

3. Resources I would like to use in the future are Kahoot and Quizlet to study for tests and quizzes. They’re fun, interactive ways to study and I think they’re very helpful. I also like the competitive side to them which makes the programs more entertaining and the learning more effective.
