I am a 14 year old teenage boy who has been born and raised in Port Coquitlam B.C. I play two sports, Hockey for the A1 Poco Pirates Bantam team, and I play Lacrosse for the tier 2 U15 Poco Saints team. I have been playing lacrosse since I was 5 years old and have always loved the game. A few years ago I was introduced to Hockey and had so much fun playing it straight away.
There are many thing that can motivate people for many different reasons. A few things that motivate me are to always try to be the best, no matter what it is I always try to be the best at what I’m doing. During sports or even during school I always try to do the best that I can possibly do. I think that everyone should try their best because it shows you and all the other people around you what you can truly do.
I have a lot of things in my life that are important to me and that I am very grateful for. I am grateful for my family, dogs, and the house I live in, I also think that Hockey and Lacrosse are also very important to me too. I am also thankful for my whole family all being very well on money and live a comfortable lives.
To me steam is a chance to get a different approach on learning and different learning styles. It teaches a more hands on approach to learning and for a longer time period. I think that it is a very fun program so far and have really enjoyed all the classes and teachers who are a part of the program.
I joined STEAM for a few reasons. The first one being that I have always been a vey hands on learner and in the entry video it was sort of talking about that. Another one is that it looked like the kind of stuff that might help me continue to study engineering through my life so that I can be an engineer as my job. My last reason for anting to join STEAM is that I thought that maybe if I do this with the honors program in it, it could look better in collage applications.
