Perspective drawings
In the beginning of the year we all did Perspective drawings. We did 1, 2, 3 and point Perspective drawings as well as isometric and orthographic drawings. I tried to add more detail to my point drawings to make them more interesting and get more practice, although with the 4 point drawing I struggled a lot and kept it pretty basic.
Boats
I used drawings from my teammates to make a simple boat Design in blender. I changed some aspects with their input to improve the design and fixed some errors, then took measurements of all the angles and edges. I used those measurements to make a net of the boat in Autocad. I then printed out the net to check that it all fit correctly and then used the laser cutter to cut out the boat so I could have a small model (some cuts were at half the depth to fold the cardboard).
Hand helicopter
I used some of the drawing skill from drafting to draw the design for a flying metal bad idea, and then brought it into existence. All evidence is now lost.
Cube
I planned out carefully how to cut three Ls of metal to have them make a cube. They did not fit. After much sawing and filling I have used my skills of deduction to know that each peice should’ve been 20mm wide instead of 22mm, and they would’ve fit together.
Final cube, actually okay:
Spider
I used orthographic drawing to represent the spider design. I learned that some things should have more thought done during planning, as the legs were very difficult to merge.
