Drafting 10

Drafting Projects

Perspective drawings:

In Drafting, I drew a bunch of perspective drawings from 1 point perspective drawing to 4 point perspective drawing. The style I went for the second-third perspective drawings was destruction.

AUTOCAD Maze:

In Drafting, I made a maze using AutoCAD. The maze consists of two pictures and the letters “TC” which are my initials. The picture on the right is Giygas from Earthbound and the picture on the left is the Millenium Puzzle from Yu-Gi-Oh. I designed the maze with the intent of being a little difficult but not too hard.

Gravity Car:

In Drafting, my group mates and I created a small car that was optimized for energy efficiency. Most of the car is 3d printed, and it was designed to resemble somewhat of a racecar. Upon testing the car on a ramp, it was very unstable and fell off the ramp 99% of the time. It did eventually manage to reach a part of the end point of the gravity car course. Also, there were supposed to be headlights on the front of the car, but the stickers just kept falling off over and over again…

Lit Launchers:

In Drafting, I created a launcher that was designed to launch a projectile as far and as accurately as possible into a catcher. The launcher design shown in the pictures is not my first design. I had designed my first one in AUTOCAD but unfortuantely that design was saved locally to a school laptop, and I just so happened to forget the laptop number. Anyway, in terms of performance, this launcher ranked one of the lowest compared to other launchers.

Ping Pong pickup challenge:

*(I lost the pickup device, but I can provide some of the designs I had thought of for the pickup device)

For the ping pong pickup challenge hosted by Science Buddies, I had created a pickup device that utilized a scooping mechanism in order to pick up the ping pong. While I do not have the actual device available, I can show some of the designs I had in mind when trying to construct my pickup device.
